2008年10月VB100评测结束，本次评测平台为Windows Server 2008，金山毒霸2008延续了自己在VB100非主流操作系统上的一贯表现，成功通过，瑞星也通过了本次评测，值得一提的是，这是瑞星连续第二次同时也是第二次通过VB100测试，目前金山在通过VB100评测次数上保持着对瑞星的一贯优势；NOD32、AVG、麦咖啡、赛门铁克等也顺利通过本月的评测，卡巴斯基未参加评测。
