UGH! I have such a big mouth!

I was talking to a friend of mine and I was trying to talk about a famous filmmaker but I couldn't think of his name. So I started describing him. I said "he has a dark-curly hair and he's fat."

My friend is overweight! i think he might have felt bad I made the comment! What should I do? Should I admit later what i said? how should I say it? I didn't mean it, I was just trying to describe the person I was talking about. I had trouble thinking of a word. oh sometimes I wish I kept my mouth shut!
